Proceedings
The Proceedings of the MSS-12 will be published as a special (but consecutively numbered) issue of the Journal Physica E: Low-Dimensional Systems & Nano-Structures. All submitted papers will be refereed for their suitability for inclusion in the Proceedings. Note that according to the policy of Physica E, submission of a paper implies that the paper represents an original work not previously published and not being considered for publication elsewhere.
Style
Manuscripts should be prepared following the instructions given by Elsevier Publisher. Visit the Physica E webpage for details. The Author Gateway page of Elsevier Publisher is also helpful.
The authors are encouraged to use LaTeX or MS-Word for manuscript preparation. Instructions and template files are available from the Author Gateway page, and also can be downloaded from the conference page. For users of LaTeX, please note that use of the style file PHYEAUTH.cls produces a manuscript in a double column style. For help on LaTeX, please consult the APS website. For other types of word processor format, please consult the Physica E webpage.
Please keep in mind that all figures submitted in colour will be printed in colour on the electronic version on the web. Printed papers will be black-and-white.

Page Limit
The maximum length of manuscript is 4 printed pages for contributed (oral and poster) papers and 6 printed pages for invited and plenary papers.
Manuscript Submission
All invited speakers and contributors whose abstracts have been accepted are requested to submit a manuscript. The author shall submit a manuscript online. Online submission consists of:
- The text in a double-line spaced format - Microsoft Word or LaTeX
- Electronic figure files (TIFF, PS or EPS only). Each figure is uploaded separately
- For refereeing purposes, we require a pdf file of the correct length in the Physica E format be uploaded. This format can be generated from either the Microsoft Word template or the LaTeX template

Manuscript Referees
Each person who submits a manuscript will be requested to referee a manuscript. A manuscript will be assigned to each referee after the July 11 deadline, and the referee process will be online. Referee reports are due August 15.
